About

Leiden Deaf Studies is a group of researchers and Deaf Studies enthusiasts who are or have been researching various topics related to Deaf Studies. Our backgrounds include fields and disciplines such as linguistics, psychology, computer science, arts in society, and disability history, among others. We like to get together, share our findings and experiences, and learn more!

Leiden Deaf Studies has hosted presentations and workshops such as Deaf Culture and the Hearing Museum by Nynke Feenstra, Sign Writing Workshop by Gereon Kaiping, and the International Sign crash course. In February 2018 Leiden Deaf Studies launched its new Lecture Series.
